Hard not to like a place that describes itself as having an emphasis on “meatballs and parm.”
Nestled in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul's glitzy center of Gangnam-gu, MADE offers a modern take on Italian-American classics. Not your typical red-sauce joint, MADE offers an affordable, fast casual service within a contemporary café setting. Adopting a simple made-to-order model (think Chipotle), diners can customize protein, carb and sauce to create their own entree. With an emphasis on local ingredients and in-house prep, flavors have that “made from scratch” taste that will keep you coming back.
So yeah, the MEATBALL is a no-brainer - prepared with local Han- u + grade beef, this is certainly an upgrade from your average sweaty pizza parlor varietal. The CHICKEN PARM and EGGPLANT PARM are also hard to beat. Small, shareable plates and sides include FRIED MOZZARELLA, ARANCINI and BAKED ZITI. A Western-style brunch is served on the weekends - PORK BELLY PORCHETTA BREAKFAST SANDWICH is a standout.
Now, who took a bite out of my Pork Belly Porchetta Breakfast Sandwich? I know it was you, Fredo.
