Wontons are like children,.. everyone has a favorite (kidding)! People are passionate about their favorite Wonton shops, but after all is said and done - Mak's Noodle is no joke. This no frills restaurant may look like your run-of-the-mill Hong Kong noodle shop, but the long line of wonton craving fanatics would suggest otherwise. Launched as a food stall in 1968 by Mak Woon-Chi, the shop upgraded to Wellington Street in 1989 to make a bigger splash in the market. Thankfully the franchise has thrived in all its glory and now boasts several popular locations in HK, Macau, and Singapore. Each bowl contains only four wontons, but each is wrapped with a whole shrimp along with a bit of minced pork. The noodles are thin, refined, and cooked to perfection. The juice is worth the squeeze on this eatery, do yourself a favor and drop by for one of the best bowl's in town.
